Moving along with the Garage Renovation project. The opening for the studio’s new door was cleaned up, weather-proofed, and door installed. A sliding door was a functional choice to double as a fresh air vent while the kiln is running. Depending on the time of year, the door can be opened partially or wide open to keep the room cool. The interior of the studio has been sheet rocked, and the mud & tape almost complete. Priming, painting, base board installation, and final electrical installation are all that’s left.
After the large amount of work to reinforce the garage structurally it is great to see it coming together. The project will greatly extend the life of the eighty-seven year old garage. Following completion of the studio will be finishing the bike room and shop/garage.
